SIDxCompanies

We collaborate with more than 300 companies, bringing co-design into the classroom: students and professionals work together to develop real projects and respond to market challenges.

Co-design is an approach to design in which designers, companies, marketers, and other stakeholders collaborate to develop effective, shared solutions. This method enhances the dialogue between thinkers, makers and users, making the process more open, strategic and innovative.

In SID, co-design is at the heart of teaching. From the first year, students work closely with companies, tackling concrete challenges and developing applied design skills. This synergy is developed both within the academic track and in extracurricular activities, with projects, workshops and collaborations involving professionals and businesses. The third year focuses on Co-design Labs, immersive experiences in which students and companies work side by side to develop research projects.
Our network of collaborations has more than 300 brands, with which we build strategic pathways capable of transforming into professional opportunities for our students.

The projects

Through Co-design Labs, SID students explore new design scenarios and propose innovative solutions to optimize communication strategies, rethink products and anticipate industry evolutions.

Galileo Visionary District

Scuola Italiana Design is the educational department of Galileo Visionary District: the Science and Technology Park in Padua, Italy.
Galileo Visionary District is the national and international benchmark for research and innovation, a place of growth for companies, students and startuppers. In addition to SID, three other divisions are part of the districts that make up Galileo: Start Cube, R&D MaTech and R&D Design.

Galileo believes in innovation as a means of stimulating change in the economic fabric, toward new horizons of technological and organizational development. It believes in economic, environmental and social sustainability and takes concrete action every day to achieve these goals. He believes in the importance of synergies and collaboration to advance ambitious and cutting-edge projects.
