Brief
A Graphic Image Design project under the banner of analysis and experimentation.
Guided by lecturer Irene Sgarro, students in the first-year Graphic Image Design course embarked on a journey into the world of visual communication. Through an editorial graphic design paper, they broke down an existing visual communication project into its constituent elements: typography, colors, shapes and visual codes.
Appropriating the foundational elements of the original project and its design methodology, students initiated personal reworkings, exploring different facets of visual communication and experimenting with multiple types of output.
An active and engaging learning process.
The project provided a unique opportunity for students to deepen their knowledge and skills in visual communication. Through careful analysis of an existing project, they were able to understand the key principles that define its effectiveness and communicative power.

Decomposition and recomposition: an inseparable pair.
The decomposition of the original project into constituent elements allowed students to internalize the founding principles of visual communication. The next phase, devoted to personal reworking, gave them the opportunity to experiment and test their creative skills, exploring different solutions and expressive techniques.
The project allowed students to engage with different facets of visual communication, as well as multiple graphic styles. Through experimenting with different types of output, they were able to become familiar with the different tools and techniques used in this field.

A learning experience rich in insights and inspiration.
The Graphic Image Design project proved to be a valuable educational experience for the students.Through analysis, experimentation and creative reworking, they were able to deepen their knowledge and skills in visual communication while developing their aesthetic sensibility and critical thinking skills.
The project was also an important opportunity to enhance the students’ talent and creativity. Their personal reworkings of the original project highlighted their ability to interpret and reinterpret the codes of visual communication, resulting in original and innovative solutions.
