List of topics covered:

The third-year course is aimed at producing projects directly applicable to students’ professional careers. After acquiring the language skills necessary to interact in professional contexts in the first two years, students will be guided in the production of two main projects: a simulation of a crowdfunding campaign and the creation of a Video CV. Both projects aim to consolidate the ability to synthesize information and present it effectively through verbal, visual and textual formats.

The first part of the course is dedicated to analyzing the Kickstarter platform, with an in-depth look at communication strategies and best practices for creating a crowdfunding campaign. Students will work in groups to analyze existing projects, understand the mechanisms of success and develop their own campaign simulation.

The second part of the course focuses on producing a Video CV as a complement to the professional portfolio. Through the analysis of different examples and formats, students will learn how to structure and present their skills, experiences and professional aspirations in English in a clear and effective way.

Course-specific learning objectives:

The course aims to concretely apply the language skills developed in the previous two years through the implementation of real projects. Students will become familiar with the language of crowdfunding, developing the skills needed to create and promote a campaign on digital platforms. At the same time, they will learn how to summarize and present their career path in an effective video format, improving communication skills in English for the business world. The course also provides tools to sharpen presentation skills, multimedia content management and strategic communication in English.

Mode of teaching delivery:

Classes combine theoretical moments with practical activities, alternating between case study analysis, guided exercises and collective review sessions. Students will develop their projects through a progressive path, receiving constant feedback to improve their effectiveness. The teaching approach also includes targeted exercises to refine advertising writing and industry-specific language.

Mode of examination/evaluation:

Evaluation will be based on the average of the results obtained in the two final projects. The crowdfunding campaign will be evaluated based on adherence to project guidelines and communicative effectiveness, both linguistic and digital. The Video CV will be evaluated according to similar criteria, considering clarity, linguistic consistency, and professional English presentation skills.
