ISDC/07 Tecniche informatiche multimediali

List of topics covered:

The course focuses on learning and using the main graphics software for creating and processing visual content. Students will gain hands-on skills on fundamental digital design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. During the training, technical and creative aspects related to the creation of layouts, digital images and post-production processes will be addressed. Through exercises and projects, students will develop an in-depth understanding of the graphic design workflow.

Course-specific learning objectives:

The objective of the course is to provide students with an operational mastery of the software covered, making them autonomous in the use of graphics processing technologies. At the end of the course, students will be able to apply the acquired techniques in the creation of coherent and professional visual projects, using editing and layout tools effectively.

Mode of teaching delivery:

The course involves a combination of theoretical lectures and hands-on activities. Through demonstrations, guided exercises and extempore projects, students will be able to directly experience the functionality of the software. Constant interaction with the instructor and reviews of the work produced will consolidate learning and improve the ability to use digital tools.

Mode of examination/evaluation:

The examination consists of two tests. A theory test, with open-ended and multiple-choice questions, designed to test understanding of the fundamental concepts. A practical test, based on a design brief, in which students will have to demonstrate their ability to use the three software programs covered to develop a complete graphic design paper.
